Keith Barnes

Keith Barnes has extensive experience in leadership and consultancy across various sectors, currently serving as a Trustee for Groundwork Trust MSSTT and as a Director at Asesor Consulting since 2008. From 2009 to 2013, they held the position of Pro Vice Chancellor at the University of Salford, where they focused on partnership and development activities, overseeing numerous strategic initiatives. Prior to this, Keith was a Regional Director at the Government Office North West, managing significant government programs and budgets. Their early career included roles such as Managing Consultant at Coopers & Lybrand Consulting and Chief Executive at Thurrock Council, where they led substantial service delivery and regeneration projects. Keith also served as a Board Member for the Manchester & Pennine Waterway Partnership from 2015 to 2018, advocating for community engagement with the canal network.
