John David Layton

John David Layton is the Principal of Gramatan Capital Management LLC, a private equity firm specializing in biotechnology, financial technology, and real estate investments. They have over ten years of experience in portfolio management and more than 20 years in various construction roles, including executive project manager and superintendent. Layton previously served as a Managing Director at Melkonian Capital Management and was the principal of Ironhead Enterprises LLC, overseeing multiple development projects in Manhattan, including The Gramercy 145 Condominium. They hold a B.A. from Lehigh University and an M.B.A. from Columbia University and are involved in philanthropic efforts, including the Boy Scouts of America and the New York Open Judo Tournament.
