Group1 is an AI-native company building the energy infrastructure for the AI era. We are the world’s first company commercializing high-power, critical-metal-free, potassium-ion batteries for AI data centers, defense, and critical infrastructure — strengthening national security by enabling a fully domestic supply chain for energy storage.

Group1 develops the full K-ion stack, from proprietary cathode, electrolyte, and anode chemistry through cells, packs, and cabinet-level solutions, on an inherently safer chemistry than lithium-ion.

Continuing the lineage of innovation from the pioneering co-inventor of the lithium-ion battery and 2019 Chemistry Nobel Laureate, UT-Austin Professor John B. Goodenough.

Proudly supported by the National Science Foundation (NSF).
