Johnny Yang

Johnny Yang, PMP, currently serves as Program Manager for Business Development at Group14 Technologies, leading electric vehicle (EV) and cell manufacturing programs in Asia since January 2024. Previously, Johnny held the position of Project Manager for Cell Engineering at Sion Power Corporation, focusing on lithium metal cell projects for the EV market. Experience also includes roles as Production Manager at Ionic Materials, where responsibilities involved scaling up solid-state battery electrolyte production, and Lead Material Engineer at Angstron Materials, overseeing the Si anode process team. Additional background as a Sr. Research Associate and Research Associate at Wildcat Discovery Technologies involved extensive work on lithium-ion battery materials and process development. Early career experience includes graduate research at the State University of New York and a research assistant position at Academia Sinica. Johnny Yang holds a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from the University at Albany.
