Loïc Brient has a diverse work experience in the banking industry. Loïc started their career at Societe Generale in 2005, where they worked as an Economist until 2009. Loïc then transitioned to the role of Head of Stresstests from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, they joined BPCE as the Head of Portfolio modeling and simulation until 2017. During their time at BPCE, they also served as the Chief Data Scientist, where they managed a Data Science team and led Machine Learning projects focused on customer journey and compliance with GDPR. Loïc also played a significant role in promoting state-of-the-art methodologies and facilitating knowledge sharing within the Data Science community of Group BPCE.
Loïc Brient attended École Polytechnique from 1999 to 2003, where they received a degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics. Loïc then went on to study at ENSAE Paris from 2003 to 2005, earning a degree in Economics, Econometrics, and Statistics.
