Jan Barta

Jan Barta, age 37, has served as a Partner of Pale Fire Capital, SE (“PFC”), a private equity investment group that invests in ecommerce companies both in Europe and worldwide, since January 2017, where he also serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board. As a Partner in PFC, Mr. Barta actively co-manages the portfolio of private technology investments, and his primary focus is on identifying investment opportunities and advising on strategies of portfolio companies, including Aukro s.r.o., the largest Czech online marketplace, Mubi.pl, a polish insurance technology company, ACOND a.s., the largest Czech manufacturer of heat pumps for residential buildings, UptimeRobot.com, one of the largest global website monitoring services, and Rouvy, SE, a global indoor cycling app competing with Zwift Inc. Prior to joining PFC, Mr. Barta was a Partner in Epojisteni.cz as well as NetBrokers Holding, dominant Czech & Slovak insurance technology and financial technology companies with more than 500 employees, from 2010 until December 2018.
