Chad Mayfield has over 25 years of experience in the technology field. Chad began their career in 1995 as a Communications Engineer for City, Water, Light, & Power, where they co-authored RFPs and evaluated vendors, facilitated CWLP’s specification and purchase of a $2 Million CLEC Service Provider network, and configured, tested, managed, and maintained an 8-site core ATM & Gigabit Ethernet MAN infrastructure with over 100 customer sites. In 2000, they became an Instructor at the University of Illinois Springfield, where they expanded the Cisco Networking Academy Program, mentored and advised students, and developed strong networking fundamentals. In 2001, they joined AT&T as a Design Engineer and Collaboration Subject Matter Expert, where they qualified, planned, designed, presented, configured, and implemented winning customer data and voice network designs and collaboration solutions. Chad also spearheaded the development and delivery of training programs for account teams. In 2007, they joined Cisco as a Systems Engineer, where they accomplished 300% growth to expand their region’s revenue from $6.2M to over $18.5M. From 2017-2022, they were the General Manager of Data Solutions at Sirius Computer Solutions, where they orchestrated strategic account planning and solution sales to align customer’s technology initiatives, business objectives, and corporate vision, and transformed the region by developing over $3.9M in profitable new business opportunities. Currently, they are a Senior Systems Engineer at GroupSense.

Chad Mayfield obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) from ITT Technical Institute-Earth City between 1991 and 1994, majoring in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Chad then obtained a Commercial Radio Operator's License from the Federal Communications Commission in January 1992. In 2000, they obtained a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) from Cisco. In June 2001, they obtained a Cisco Certified Academy Instructor (CCAI) from Cisco. Chad then obtained a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) from Cisco in September 2003. Lastly, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) from the University of Illinois Springfield between 2001 and 2007, majoring in Computer Science.
