Sofia Moon, RD

Sofia Moon has a diverse range of work experience in the field of design. Sofia began their career as a Design Intern at Further Food in 2015 and later worked as a Graphic Designer at the University of California, Berkeley in 2016. In 2017, they became a Dietetic Intern at UCSF Medical Center, where they provided medical nutrition therapy to adult and pediatric patients. Sofia then transitioned to the role of Clinical Dietitian at UCSF Medical Center, where they specialized in areas such as oncology, critical care, and obstetrics, among others.

In 2018, Sofia took on the role of Communications Chair and Web Designer at the American Society for Parenteral & Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN). Sofia continued to expand their design skills while contributing to the organization's communications efforts.

In 2020, Sofia became a Founding Product Designer at Nomify, where they played a key role in the early stages of the company's product development. Sofia also concurrently worked as a Graduate Research Assistant and pursued a Masters in Communication Design (Digital Product Design) at Parsons School of Design - The New School.

Following their time at Nomify, Sofia joined Ritual as a Product Designer in 2021, where they worked until 2021 on designing products for the company. Sofia then joined Honor Education, Et Al as a Product Designer in 2022. Honor Education is a platform that aims to provide transformative education for various institutions. Sofia's role involved fostering creative and critical thinking through the development of educational tools.

Most recently, Sofia joined Grow Therapy as a Product Designer II in 2023. Their responsibilities at Grow Therapy involve designing products that help address mental health needs. Overall, Sofia's work experience demonstrates a strong background in design, with a focus on product design in various industries.

Sofia Moon, RD has a diverse education history. Sofia obtained a Master's degree in Communication Design (Digital Product Design) from Parsons School of Design - The New School in the year 2021. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Dietetics/Dietitian from the University of California, Berkeley in 2017. Sofia also participated in the UC Education Abroad Program in Paris, France for a brief period in 2015, focusing on the French Language. In 2013, Sofia completed the Korean Language Institute at Yonsei University. Before entering college, they acquired an International Baccalaureate Diploma from The American School Foundation, where they studied from 1998 to 2013. Additionally, Sofia attended the Stanford University Summer College for High School Students in 2012.

In terms of certifications, Sofia is a Registered Dietitian, having been awarded the certification in October 2018 by the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Sofia also holds an International Baccalaureate Diploma obtained in April 2013 from The International Baccalaureate organization.
