Michael Gu

Michael Gu has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Michael is currently the VP of Product & Engineering at Growlink, an agriculture technology company. Prior to that, they were the Founder of First Glimpse, a venture studio supporting impact projects. Michael also co-founded and served as the CTO of FloEnvy, a software platform for cannabis cultivation that was acquired by Growlink.

Before their entrepreneurial ventures, Michael worked at Zlto as an Engineer and Product Lead, where they contributed to the development of a virtual incentives platform for emerging markets. Michael was also a Co-Founder of Zlto and played a key role in its growth, serving clients such as UNICEF and JPMorgan.

Michael has gained valuable experience in the tech industry through their roles at Google, where they were an Impact Grant Recipient and participated in the development and launch of a digital wallet. Michael also worked as a Systems Software Engineer at ConsenSys, where they built infrastructure to support blockchain applications.

Additionally, Michael has previous experience as a Machine Learning Engineer at PayPal, a Full Stack Engineer at Massdrop, and a Research Assistant at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Overall, they have a strong background in product development, technology, and entrepreneurship.

Michael Gu has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Michael also has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the same university. Additionally, they participated in an exchange program at the University of Cape Town, where they studied International Policy. Michael'sexchange program at the University of Cape Town concluded in 2016.
