Jay Pruitt

Jay Pruitt, MSRE has extensive experience in the real estate industry, beginning as an Administrative/Finance Assistant at Chernoff Newman. Jay then served as a Contracts Assistant at Associated Press before transitioning to the hospitality sector as a General Accountant & Billing Specialist at JW Marriott. Pruitt then moved on to Marriott International as an Assistant Director of Finance, managing financial operations and achieving cost savings. Subsequently, they worked at Bank of America as a Business Analyst, Fairview Real Estate Solutions as an Underwriting Analyst, and CitiSculpt, Inc. as a Commercial Real Estate Acquisition/Development Manager. Currently, Pruitt is at Grubb Properties, where they have held roles as Associate, Senior Associate, and Director in Acquisitions & Investments, specializing in value-add office, multifamily development, and acquisitions across various regions.

Jay Pruitt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Corporate Finance and Marketing from the University of South Carolina in 2007. Jay then went on to complete a Master's Degree in Real Estate Development and Finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2017. Prior to their higher education, Jay graduated from T L Hanna High School in 2003 with a high school diploma. In 2016, they also obtained a certification in ARGUS Enterprise.
