Smit Patel has a diverse work experience starting in 2017 at the SUNY Polytechnic Institute where they worked as a Research Assistant. During their time there, they performed artery/vein segmentation using deep neural networks and also led a team of 5 research assistants to develop a graphical interface for the system. In 2019, Smit joined GRUBBRR as an Android Developer and later progressed to the role of Senior Software Engineer in November 2021.
Smit Patel pursued their education in computer science, starting with a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree at Manipal Institute of Technology from 2013 to 2017. Smit then went on to attain a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from SUNY Polytechnic Institute, which they completed between 2017 and 2019. Furthermore, they obtained a certification in Statistics Foundations: 2 from LinkedIn in September 2019.
