Christopher Armstrong

Christopher Armstrong has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Christopher has held various roles in different companies, showcasing their expertise in software engineering, creative technology, and team leadership.

From 2023, Christopher has been working as a Software Engineer Technical Lead at Grumpy Sailor Creative. Prior to this, they worked at Imagination from 2019 to 2022 as a Senior Creative Technologist, where they collaborated with development teams to create innovative digital experiences.

Before their role at Imagination, Christopher worked at AKQA from 2017 to 2019. Christopher served as a Technologist and Team Lead, supporting and managing senior developers while also contributing to business idea ideation and technical challenges.

In 2018, Christopher volunteered as a front-end developer for the Choose Love online store at The Glimpse Collective. Christopher also had a role as a Senior Front End Developer at DT from 2014 to 2017, where they led teams to deliver enterprise solutions and create responsive experiences for clients.

Additionally, Christopher has a background in multimedia development, having owned and directed a successful multimedia company called Funtanzoo from 1993 to 2014. Christopher has a wide range of experience working on educational titles, games, TV shows, touch screens, and internet/extranet development.

Furthermore, Christopher has worked on specific projects, such as the Cake Challenge Facebook Application at Foxtel and Facebook Development at Give Art Science and Holy Cow! Design & Advertising in 2013. Christopher also contributed as a Mobile Application Developer at Epiphany Games, developing HTML5 Phonegap mobile applications.

Christopher Armstrong has a comprehensive education history. In 1985, they enrolled in the University of Tasmania and pursued a 1st Year Bachelor of Economics/Computer Science degree. After completing this year, their specific field of study is unknown. Later on, from 1989 to 1992, Christopher attended the University of Tasmania again and successfully obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Photography. Subsequently, in 1993, they briefly attended the University of Sydney, where they pursued a Post Graduate Bachelor of Fine Arts (GradDip BFA) in Photography. Finally, in 1995, Christopher undertook the train-the-trainer course, "Train The Trainer," at WEA Sydney, specializing in Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching.
