Maggie Lyons

Maggie Lyons currently serves as Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs at GS1 US, a position held since April 2024. Previously, Lyons was Managing Director of the AgTech & Consumer Goods Business Unit at SAS from September 2019 to March 2024, after serving as Principal Industry Consultant for USDA. From July 2017 to August 2019, Lyons acted as Chief of Staff/Senior Advisor in the Office of the Undersecretary for Food Nutrition and Consumer Services at USDA. Lyons also demonstrated leadership as Senior Director and Director of Government Relations at the National Grocers Association from January 2014 to July 2017 and held roles including Deputy Chief of Staff and Legislative Director within the U.S. House of Representatives from January 2012 to January 2014. Earlier experience includes serving as Deputy Director of Senate Relations at The Heritage Foundation and various positions within the United States Senate. Lyons earned a degree in Corporate Communications from Elon University.
