Manuel Carillo has over 20 years of extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as the Head of the Energetic Markets Unit at GSE since March 2006, where responsibilities include managing a team involved in energy management, dispatching, and the sale of electricity generated from renewable sources, while overseeing carbon emissions trading in the EU. Previous roles at GSE include Head of Forecast & Energy Trading Unit and Head of Metering & Settlement Unit, focusing on energy forecasting, trading activities, project management, and data management. Prior experience includes positions at Gaz de France SUEZ SpA as a Project Manager and Energy Consulting Company as a Senior Consultant, along with an early career as an Energy Manager and Research Analyst. Educational qualifications encompass an MBA from SDA Bocconi and a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Energy Engineering from the University of Naples 'Federico II,' graduating with honors.
