Sam Yang is currently the Director of Operations at Gshopper. Prior to this, they were the Founder and CEO of artington.cn from July 2014 to August 2015. During their time there, they led a team of three colleagues and was able to achieve over $800 in revenue within four months. The company was then acquired by Gshopper. From January 2009 to July 2014, Sam worked as a Consultant/Manager at Nielsen. There, they led Nielsen’s analytical consulting service and managed three analysts who guided the strategic decisions of China P&G Haircare and Laundry categories- which brought in $1MM in revenue. Sam was also responsible for managing offshore modeling analysts in Shanghai and India. As a result of their efforts, the company was able to provide action-oriented modeling results that were tailored to client objectives.
Sam Yang had an exchange at Fudan University in China for general management, followed by an exchange program at Tel Aviv University in Israel for business administration and management. Sam then completed their MBA at the National University of Singapore. After that, they completed a Master's in Physics at Imperial College London. Finally, they did their Bachelor's in Applied Physics at the Harbin Institute of Technology in China.
Sam Yang reports to Yeogirl Yun, CEO. They are on a team with Wendy Chen - VP & GM, Helen Yuan - HR Director, and Liang Lyu - Senior Director of Strategy & Operation.
