Abi Birrell

Abi Birrell is currently the Director of Immersive Learning and Executive Engagement at GSMA. With extensive experience in event management, Abi has previously held positions as Project Manager at DFS Lab and Events Director at Caribou Digital, where they launched a new revenue-generating business unit focused on experiential learning. Abi also managed global events for multi-million dollar programs while working at Canonical Ltd., and played a key role in transforming Financial Inclusion Week into a leading event on inclusive finance while consulting for Accion. Abi earned a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Human Genetics from the University of Nottingham and a Master of Arts in Global Management from Regents Business School.
