Alexandre Harmand

Alexandre Harmand is a seasoned professional in telecommunications, currently serving as a GSMA TG member representing Telefonica, involved in shaping technology guidance for the GSMA board. Since 2007, Alexandre has held various leadership roles at Telefonica, including Head of Network Platforms, where responsibilities include overseeing technology engineering and planning, leading 5G architecture deployment, and managing core and service platform projects. Key achievements include delivering VoLTE and VoWifi projects, leading fixed network transformation, and driving significant cost savings through efficiency programs. Additionally, Alexandre served as Co-Chair of the TIP Metaverse Ready Network and previously held the position of Chairman at GSMA OPAG. Academic credentials include a Master of Science in Telecommunications Engineering from Aston University.
