Benjamin Meany is an experienced professional with a strong focus on digital policy, cybersecurity, and medical technology regulation. Currently serving as Director of EU Affairs at GSMA since September 2025, Benjamin previously held senior positions at MedTech Europe, where key responsibilities included coordinating working groups on AI, software, and cybersecurity in the context of medical devices. Benjamin represented MedTech Europe as a member of the Medical Devices Coordination Group (MDCG) and has a diverse background, including consulting for Teneo and serving as Cybersecurity Policy Coordinator at Microsoft. Earlier roles included Parliamentary Advisor with the Houses of the Oireachtas and Researcher at the Wilfried Martens Centre for European Studies. Benjamin holds a Master's degree in European Studies from KU Leuven and previously studied at University College Cork and Sciences Po Aix.
