Peter W.

Peter W. has a diverse work experience in the event and exhibition management industry. Peter started their career at PennWell Corporation in 1999, where they served as the Senior Event Operations Manager - International Team Leader. In this role, they had overall operational and budget responsibilities over fifteen international exhibitions and conferences, covering various regions around the world. Peter successfully initiated and set up new events in Moscow and Beijing.

In 2005, Peter W. joined GSMA, where they held various positions. Peter started as an Exhibition Manager and was responsible for managing the operational delivery of the 'Mobile World Congress' and the Mobile Asia Congress. In 2008, they were promoted to Head of Exhibitions, where they took responsibility for the operational delivery, project management, and cost control of the exhibition component of all events within the GSMA portfolio. In 2016, they became the Global Head of Exhibition Operations, overseeing exhibition operations on a global scale. Currently, Peter W. holds the position of Head of Global Operations at GSMA.

Throughout their career, Peter W. has demonstrated strong leadership and project management skills, successfully handling operational and budget responsibilities for international events.

Peter W. attended North East Surrey College of Technology (NESCOT) from 2018 to 2020, where they obtained a degree in Operations/Department Manager Level 5 in the field of Business Administration, Management, and Operations. In addition, they hold certifications such as Chartered Manager from the Chartered Management Institute, Effective Leadership Development and Effective Personal Leadership from Leadership Management International, Inc., and Certified Practitioner from Agile Business Consortium. Peter also has certifications in NEBOSH General Certificate and PRINCE2® Foundation & Practitioner from the Association for Project Management.
