Tom Phillips

Tom Phillips is a seasoned telecommunications industry leader with extensive experience in business development and strategy, particularly within international government and regulatory affairs. They served as the Group Director of Public Policy at Cable and Wireless from 1997 to 2004, and later as the Chief Government & Regulatory Affairs Officer for GSMA from 2004 to 2015, where they led significant lobbying campaigns and built crucial government relationships. Tom held various leadership roles throughout their career, including Director of Business Planning at Orange and Managing Consultant at PA Consulting Group. They also contributed to the UK Telecommunications Academy and chaired the Internet Content Rating Association. Tom holds multiple degrees, including an MBA from Cranfield University and a BSc in Physics from The University of Manchester.
