Evan Cheng

Senior Software Architect at Groundswell

Evan Cheng is a Senior Software Architect at Groundswell, a position held since April 2017. Previously, Evan served as a contractor at the United States Army Research Lab during the summer of 2014, where responsibilities included determining the damping coefficient of microelectromechanical system (MEMS) three-axis acceleration threshold sensors through mathematical modeling and the invention of an analytical equation fit method. Earlier, in the summer of 2013, Evan also conducted evaluations on handgun muzzle blast attenuation using suppressors aimed at preventing hearing loss. Evan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, graduating in 2016, and completed secondary education at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, focusing on Energy Systems, Prototyping, and Oceanography.
