Sérgio Dinis has extensive work experience in the technology and engineering field. Sérgio began their career at Altitude Software as a Help Desk employee before moving on to FCCN as part of the RCTS Help Desk team. Sérgio then joined VIA Networks as a Technical Support staff member. In 2004, they became a Senior Technical Support Engineer at AMEN Portugal, where they played a vital role in establishing and leading the Portuguese operation. After leaving AMEN, Sérgio founded their own company, Discovenet - Serviços de Internet, which focused on shared hosting solutions and managed services. This venture led to their recruitment as a Systems Engineer at Claranet Portugal when the operations were transferred. Sérgio held various roles at Claranet, including IT Manager and Systems Engineer, where they played a significant role in developing and managing the company's IT infrastructure and datacenters. In 2012, they joined Interoute as Director of Hosting & Security Engineering, overseeing critical engineering functions. Sérgio's career then brought him to GTT as they transitioned from Interoute during an acquisition. At GTT, they held positions such as Director of Hosting & Security Engineering, Senior Director of Systems Engineering & ICT, and currently serves as the VP of Engineering. In these roles, Sérgio has been responsible for global cloud infrastructure, security infrastructures, SD-Wan product engineering, vendor relationships, budgeting, capacity management, customer escalations, and platform automation and improvement.

Sérgio Dinis earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where they studied from 2007 to 2012. Sérgio also obtained certification in VMWare VCP5 from VMware in 2012 and CCNA from Cisco in January 2004. Additionally, Sérgio has certifications in ITIL Intermediate Level - Service Operation from Pink Elephant and ITIL v3 Foundation from EXIN.
