Brett Garman

Brett Garman has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Brett has worked as an Air Traffic Control Specialist in different organizations such as the United States Air Force and Federal Aviation Administration. Additionally, they served as a Helicopter Flight Following Specialist at Scientific Research Corporation. In 2016, they founded Garman Southern LLC, a research and development company where they developed an extensive Bitcoin mining project. From 2019 to 2022, they worked at The Blockyard LLC, where they served as a General Manager and managed AWS, JavaScript, Linux classes and website creation projects. Currently, they hold the position of CEO and CTO at Guardrail Mining, where their duties include client-facing communication and technical planning. Their significant accomplishments at Guardrail Mining include managing teams for onsite support for Bitcoin mining operations.

Brett Garman has a varied education history that includes non-degree seeking courses at several institutions, as well as some degree programs. Brett attended Pennsylvania College of Technology for non-degree seeking courses in Human Resources from 1995-1996 and College of The Albemarle for non-degree seeking courses in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from 1997-1998. In 2004, Garman attended the Community College of the Air Force and earned a degree in Airway Science with a focus on Air Traffic Control. Brett also took non-degree seeking courses in German Language and Literature at the University of Maryland-Europe during this time. Garman then attended the University of Phoenix from 2006-2008 where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business. Brett later pursued non-degree seeking coursework in Economics and Philosophy at Charleston Southern University from 2009-2010 and Math and History at College of Charleston from 2010-2011. More recently, Garman has taken courses in Science and Arts at Khan Academy since 2012, with a focus on Physics.
