Alvaro Piñeiro

Alvaro Piñeiro has been working in the field of cyber security since 2020, when they began their role as a Cyber Security Analyst at GuardSight, Inc. Before that, they worked as an Information Security Analyst at Southern Utah University from 2017-2020, where they maintained IDS/IPS systems, designed and implemented security measures, and managed threat hunting software. Alvaro also held the role of Information Technology Help Desk Technician at the same university. From 2016-2017, they worked as a Broadband Technician at ServerPlus. Alvaro started their career in 2011 as a Computer Support Technician while self-employed.

Alvaro Piñeiro has a diverse educational background. In 2009, they obtained a Certificate in Graphic Design from Nemesis Informatica. Alvaro also obtained a Technician in Information Support and Maintenance from Universidad del trabajo Uruguay in 2009-2011. From 2015-2019, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Southern Utah University. Finally, they obtained a Master of Science in Cyber Security and Internet Assurance from Southern Utah University in 2019-2020.
