Remco Straatman is a seasoned technical professional with extensive experience in game development. Currently serving as Technical Director for the Decima Engine and Feature Architect at Guerrilla since April 2002, Remco has led the code team for Killzone Shadow Fall, overseeing technical design, management, recruitment, and mentoring. Previously, Remco was Lead AI Development, responsible for AI technology decisions and leading a team to enhance AI entertainment in games. Prior to Guerrilla, Remco worked as a Technical Project Manager at Lost Boys Interactive from March 1998 to April 2002, managing multimedia projects of varying scales, and was a PhD student at the Universiteit van Amsterdam from April 1993 to February 1998, focusing on research in automated redesign of knowledge-based systems. Remco earned a Drs in Computer Science from the University of Amsterdam between 1986 and 1991.
