Benjamin Rome

Benjamin Rome has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Benjamin began their career as a Software Development Intern at CDK Global in 2018, where they gained experience in creating REST API endpoints, using test-driven development, and working with AWS services.

In 2020, Benjamin joined Safeway as a Person In Charge, where they managed a large team across multiple departments, demonstrating their leadership and multitasking skills.

In 2021, Benjamin worked as a Private Tutor at Juni Learning, where they taught computer science lessons to students of different ages and skill levels. Benjamin effectively communicated with parents and maintained records to track student progress.

In 2022, Benjamin held various roles at different companies. Benjamin worked as a Software Development Intern at Aristides Capital, gaining further experience in software development. Benjamin also served as a Full Member and later as the Funds and Purchasing Manager at Rensselaer Motorsport, showcasing their strong organizational and management skills.

Benjamin then joined Rensselaer Center for Open Source as a Student Mentor and later as a Student Coordinator, demonstrating their ability to mentor and coordinate student activities.

Currently, Benjamin is employed at Guidance Analytics, LLC as a Software Engineer. Benjamin previously worked in the same company as a Lead Software Engineer.

Benjamin Rome began their education journey in 2015 at Sherwood High School, where they pursued their GED. Benjamin attended Sherwood High School until 2019. In 2019, Benjamin Rome enrolled at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is expected to complete their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 2023.
