Product Designer at Guidebook

Ryan Sanders is currently a Product Designer at Guidebook. Prior to that, they were with SocialAssist.me, Build.com, and Kit Lab. Ryan has also served as the Design Director at California State University, Chico.

Sanders began their career in 2012 as the Design Director at California State University, Chico. In this role, they were responsible for leading the design of all digital products for the university. In 2014, they left the university to start their own company, Kit Lab. Kit Lab was a software development company that created custom applications for businesses. After two years, Sanders sold the company and took a position as a Senior UX Designer at Build.com.

At Build.com, Sanders led the creation and growth of an enterprise headless CMS that is focused on high deliverability and amplifying the efforts of small teams. The product created such value and speed-to-market for Build.com that Ferguson - Build's parent company - asked them to increase their offering into the larger enterprise so that all of it's business units could achieve the same velocity Build.com had.

In 2019, Sanders left Build.com to join Guidebook as a Product Designer.

Ryan Sanders' educational career began with a degree in communication design from California State University-Chico. Ryan then pursued a career in graphic design and audio engineering.

They work with Chris Casey - VP, Engineering, Kiffany Gardner - Manager, Finance & Operations. Ryan Sanders reports to Pete Banks, President, Technology.
