Steven Hafen

Steven Hafen has a long history of work experience in a variety of roles. In 2005, they began working as a Consumer Loan Officer at Goldenwest Credit Union. Steven then moved to Credit Suisse in 2007 as a Loss Mitigation Specialist. In 2010, they took a role at The Law Office of Rocky D. Crofts as a Loss Mitigation Specialist. In 2011, they began working as a Software Developer at Discover Financial Services, where they developed internal web applications using ColdFusion, JavaScript, SQL, AJAX, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, MEAN Stack and GIT version control. In 2016, they began working as a Senior Frontend Developer at SolutionStream, developing custom applications and using Angular2 and D3. In 2019, they joined Trilogy Education as an Instructional Team Member, instructing, mentoring, developing and big picture training for students looking to enter the competitive field of coding with focus on the MERN Stack. In 2021, they began working as an Engineering Manager at GUIDEcx, responsible for managing multiple software development teams and overseeing teams of engineers in the completion of engineering projects. Additionally, in 2021, they began working as a Web Development Manager at Center for Excellence in Higher Education, overseeing major web and back-office application initiatives from conception to implementation, designing and developing web architecture (front-end and back-end), and providing guidance on technical issues.

Steven Hafen has a background in Computer Science, having studied at Weber State University. Steven also holds a Certified ScrumMaster certification, which they obtained from the Scrum Alliance in September 2014.
