Charles Makings

Charles Makings is a Senior Government Consultant with extensive experience in legislative affairs and policy advisory roles. They served as a Senior Legislative Assistant at the U.S. House of Representatives, focusing on a diverse portfolio including Energy, Environment, and Transportation from 2007 to 2015. Following this, Charles held positions as a Senior Associate at PwC in 2017-2018 and as Assistant Administrator for Legislative Affairs at the Transportation Security Administration from 2021 to 2024, where they acted as the agency's principal liaison to Congress. They also contributed to the USDA as Deputy Director of Intergovernmental Affairs from 2015 to 2017 and briefly served as Acting Administrator of the Maritime Administration in 2025. Charles is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Maryland University College.
