Dave Chen

Dave Chen is a Senior Visualization Scientist at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and a Senior Computer Scientist at Guidehouse, where they focus on research in 3D computer graphics and medical imaging. With a robust academic background, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Astronomy from the University of California, Berkeley, followed by a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to their current roles, Dave served as a Computer Scientist at the National Library of Medicine from 2000 to 2019 and as a Research Assistant Professor at the University of Houston from 1997 to 2000. Their research specialties include scientific visualization, virtual reality, and 3D printing.
