Ryan Powanda

Ryan Powanda is the Associate Director at Guidehouse, where they lead initiatives related to energy efficiency and project management. Ryan completed a B.S. in Integrated Science and Technology with a focus on Economics at James Madison University and later earned an MS in Civil Engineering (Atmosphere/Energy) from Stanford University. They also pursued a PhD in Building Systems Engineering at the University of Colorado at Boulder, where their research focused on optimizing HVAC controls for commercial buildings. Ryan's experience includes internships at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and a fellowship at the Rocky Mountain Institute, in addition to a managing consultant role at Navigant.
