Tia Pappas is an accomplished environmental science student at the University of California, Berkeley, expected to graduate in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, majoring in Environmental Economics and Policy. Currently participating in the EPRI Rotational Student Program, Tia is focused on decarbonization, electrification, and sustainability, with a notable project involving conservation research and a technical report on wind energy Habitat Conservation Plans for bats. As a Fung Fellow, Tia engages in human-centered design solutions for conservation challenges. Previous experiences include serving as a Biology 1A Lab Intern at UC Berkeley and working on the Island Sustainability Program in French Polynesia. Additionally, Tia has held multiple internships with Northrop Grumman, contributing to the James Webb Space Telescope project and demonstrating leadership through grassroots activism with CALPIRG Students.
