Tyler Akers

Tyler Akers is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in consulting and advisory roles. Currently serving as a Senior Consultant at Guidehouse since October 2022, Tyler previously worked at Grant Thornton Public Sector from August 2020 to October 2022, holding positions as Senior Associate and Advisory Associate. Academic contributions include serving as a Teaching Assistant in Corporate Innovation & Entrepreneurship at Penn State Smeal College of Business. Additional experience encompasses an internship with the Penn State Division of Development and Alumni Relations, where Tyler focused on alumni engagement strategies. Leadership roles have been undertaken as Chairman of the University Park Student Fee Board, overseeing significant budget allocations, and as Chair and Vice Chair of Student Life within the University Park Undergraduate Association, where project management and committee support skills were developed. Tyler holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Penn State University and also participated in a study abroad program at Pforzheim University.
