J.R. Thomas

J.R. Thomas is the President & Chief Executive Officer of REVELOHEALTH, LLC., a health information company based in Frisco, Texas, serving healthcare systems, large provider organizations, payers, and employers. REVELOHEALTH converts healthcare data into information to reduce the high cost of collection and uses this information to improve people’s lives today in the communities where they live.

Since 2017, J.R. is the Co-Managing Partner of Thomas Marshall Group, LLC, a healthcare advisory firm based in Dallas, Texas, along with several of his associates from MedSynergies, Inc. J.R. served as Chief Executive Officer and member of the board of directors of MedSynergies, Inc. for over 17 years and was a founding executive of the company in 1996. MedSynergies served over 9,500 physicians in 29 states, processing over $30 million in medical payments daily through its domestic and global operations capacity. MedSynergies was acquired by Optum, a division of United Health Group, Inc. where J.R. retired in 2017.

Currently, J.R. serves on the Board of Managers of the Park City Club, and the advisory boards of GuideIT, LLC, EXL Health, a division of EXL Services, LLC., and the Marketing Department of the Mays School of Business at Texas A&M University. J.R. is a native of Arkansas and holds a B.A. degree in Zoology from the University of Arkansas and an M.B.A. from the McCombs School at The University of Texas at Austin.
