Darren Alexander

Darren Alexander is currently an IAM Architect, PAM at GuidePoint Security, having transitioned to this role in 2023 after serving as a PAM Security Engineer at the same company in 2022. With a background in information technology, Darren held various positions including Director of Information Technology at Planned Parenthood of the Heartland from 2002 to 2017 and Network Engineer at the National Farmers Organization from 1998 to 2002. Darren also has experience in roles such as Information Security Engineer II at Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Application Security Engineer at Professional Project Partners, Inc. Darren earned an Associate of Science in Management Information Systems from Des Moines Area Community College and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Management Information Systems and Services from Grandview University. Prior to their tech career, Darren served as an Aviation Machinist Mate in the US Navy from 1994 to 1998.
