Julie McDonald

Julie McDonald possesses extensive experience in the visual effects and animation industries, currently serving as a member of the Board of Directors for the Visual Effects Society and teaching VFX and animation production finance at The Creative School at Toronto Metropolitan University. Previous roles include interim head of production at Technicolor Montreal, managing director at ZERO VFX, and head of business development at Nimble Collective, where Julie contributed to significant projects including collaborations with Netflix and development of cloud-based animation platforms. Julie holds a BA in French Literature and Semiotics from UC San Diego, an MBA in International Finance from Mills College, and a certificate in Information Systems from the University of California, Berkeley.
