Shawn Martin, Ph.D., is a values-centered systems thinker and social impact strategist currently serving as the Head of Scholarly Communication, Copyright and Publishing at Dartmouth College, where they manage research outputs and lead diversity initiatives. In addition to their role at Dartmouth, Shawn is an adjunct lecturer at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and provides consulting services through Systems Thinking & Social Impact Consulting. They have previously held positions as an independent consultant at Guidepoint and have published extensively on scholarly communication, digital education, and social innovation. Shawn's career spans various sectors, including academia, civic engagement, and cultural heritage, with a strong focus on the intersection of values and effective societal impact. Shawn is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Information Science at Indiana University Bloomington.
