Shawn Mullen, SET, is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in fire protection and related fields. Currently serving as a Principal Member of the NFPA Technical Committee on Hybrid Fire Extinguishing Systems since September 2015, Shawn also holds the position of Standardized Patient at Des Moines University and is the Chief Energy Officer at Protex Central, Inc. since 1985, overseeing operations for a top systems integrator. Additionally, Shawn is an industry adviser for Guidepoint Global and has contributed as a Subject Matter Expert for L.E.K. Consulting. With a strong background in sales, marketing, and industry advocacy, Shawn has been active on various boards, including the Fire Systems Contractors Advisory Board and the FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS ASSOCIATION. An alumnus of Drake University with a Bachelor’s degree in Music - Percussion Performance, Shawn's career reflects a commitment to excellence in fire safety and prevention.
