Yuichiro Shimaoka

Yuichiro Shimaoka, Ph.D., serves as the Executive Vice President and Head of Japan Client Services at Guidepoint. Shimaoka has significant experience in client services and project management, holding positions such as Senior Vice President and Vice President at Guidepoint Global. Previous roles include Senior Project Manager and Project Manager in Primary Investment Research Project Management. Earlier career experiences encompass an Assistant Manager position at the City of Osaka Singapore Representative Office, a Teaching Assistant during doctoral studies at the National University of Singapore, and a Manager role at ORIX METRO Leasing and Finance Corporation. Shimaoka earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Southeast Asian Studies from the National University of Singapore from 2007 to 2010, and a Master of Arts in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of the Philippines from 2002 to 2006.
