Mike Pryke

Mike Pryke has extensive experience in marketing, communications, and business growth, having worked in leadership roles for various companies since 2011. Mike was the Director of Communications for The English-Speaking Union, where they were responsible for internal and external communications. In 2016, they became a freelance Strategic Communications Consultant and later served as Marketing Lead for Balloon Ventures. From 2018 to 2019, Pryke led the marketing and communication initiatives for Make Shift. Mike co-founded We Built This City, a data-driven matchmaking platform that matches landlords and developers with independent enterprises, and Qualifyr, a smart tenant qualification platform. Mike taught remote classes as part of Jolt.io's Alternative MBA program related to the Start-Up OS, specializing in lean startup, customer research, business model canvas, and delivering explosive customer growth. Currently, Pryke is the Strategic Business Growth Lead for Guider, a role they assumed in 2023.

Mike Pryke received their A-Levels from Felsted School in 2006. Mike then attended the University of York from 2006 to 2009, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts with Honors in English and Related Literatures. In 2009, they continued their studies at the University of York and received their Master of Arts in Medieval Literatures in 2010.
