Pradeep Kumar

Pradeep Kumar, FCA (ICAI), CMA (USA) has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Pradeep started their career as an Articled Clerk at Ranjit Karthikeyan Associates (Chartered Accountants), where they conducted audits, prepared financial statements, and handled tax remittances. Pradeep then worked as an Assistant Accounts Manager, gaining experience in auditing government departments and preparing accounting reports.

Following this, Pradeep joined Selrence Medical Gases Pvt. Ltd as an Accounts Manager, where they oversaw financial systems and procedures, implemented computerized accounting systems, and managed inventory control and accounts payable/receivable.

After their tenure at Selrence, Pradeep joined Swift Freight International as an Accounts Manager, leading a team in the Middle East. Pradeep'sresponsibilities included implementing financial controls, conducting P&L analysis, and interacting with banks.

Pradeep then joined Barloworld Logistics as a Finance Director and later as a Regional Head of Finance for the Middle East. In these roles, they provided leadership and guidance on financial performance and strategic decisions. Pradeep also managed the company's accounting function, ensured compliance with financial and regulatory requirements, and oversaw the consolidation of group accounts.

Currently, Pradeep is the Head of Finance - Logistics at Gulftainer, the world's largest privately owned independent port operator. Pradeep supervises the financial and accounting tasks of the logistics division, develops financial analysis processes for sound decision-making, and ensures optimal utilization of capital and resources.

Throughout their career, Pradeep has demonstrated strong financial management skills, including budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control. Pradeep has experience in various industries, including logistics, freight forwarding, and medical gases. Pradeep'sexpertise in financial analysis and strategic planning has contributed to the success of the organizations they have worked with.

Pradeep Kumar, FCA (ICAI), CMA (USA), holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Kerala, which they completed from 1995 to 1997. Pradeep is also a Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, having completed this qualification from 1997 to 2000. In addition, they hold a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification from the Institute of Management Accountants, which they obtained in 2019. Pradeep also has additional certification in Advanced Excel 2010 from Microsoft, obtained in 2015.
