Mike Fairman

Mike Fairman is the Chief Executive Officer of Gumtree.com, a role they have held since 2025. They previously served as CEO of Checkatrade.com from 2018 to 2023, and as CEO/gaffer of giffgaff from 2009 to 2018. Earlier in their career, they held marketing and leadership roles at Spillers Petfoods (Marketing Manager, 1989–1995) and Coca-Cola Enterprises (Fruit Carbonate Marketing Manager, 1995–1997). They also held roles at O2 and O2 UK, including Head of O2 Broadband (2005–2009), Marketing Manager at O2 UK (1997–2000) and positions as Head of Online Sales and Head of Direct Marketing, and served as Head of New Product Development at Telefonica O2 (2008–2009).
