Richard Wright has extensive work experience, beginning in 2004. Richard was an Analyst and Junior Associate at Inductis from 2004 to 2008, followed by an Assistant Language Teacher for the JET Program from 2006 to 2011. During this same time period, they also held a part-time Associate position at J.P. Morgan from 2012 to 2013. From 2013 to 2015, they were an Analyst at Aravt Global, and from 2015 to 2017, they were an Analyst at Aternalis Capital. In 2017, they founded Gush, an online entertainment events company.

Richard Wright attended Yale University from 2000 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. Richard then attended Stanford's Inter-University Center in Yokohama, Japan from 2007 to 2008 to study Japanese Language. From 2009 to 2013, they attended The Fletcher School at Tufts University and earned a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy in International Economics and International Finance. Richard also attended Columbia Law School from 2010 to 2013 and earned a Doctor of Law (JD).
