Edward Kim

Edward Kim is the Co-Founder & Head of Engineering, Product, Data, & Design at Gusto. Prior to Gusto, they were the co-founder and CEO of Picwing and a Senior Project Engineer at Volkswagen of America Electronics Research Lab.

Kim has always been interested in technology and its potential to make people's lives easier. This led him to pursue a career in engineering. Edward started their career at Volkswagen of America Electronics Research Lab, where they led the Networked Speech Recognition team and oversaw the initial concept, specification, design, and software development of "Picture Navigation".

In 2008, Kim co-founded Picwing, a startup that aimed to make it easy for family members to stay in touch through printed photos. Picwing was acquired in 2011.

After Picwing, Kim decided to focus on Gusto, a company that provides payroll, benefits, and HR tools for small businesses. Edward has been with Gusto since its inception in 2012 and has played a pivotal role in its growth and success.

Edward Kim received their MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and their BS in Electrical Engineering from the same school.
