Mark Maritzen

Mark Maritzen is a seasoned professional in the insurance and reinsurance industry, currently serving as Global CUO at Everest since 2023. Previously, they held the position of Vice President of Reinsurance at Berkshire Hathaway and were Executive Vice President at Sompo International between 2014 and 2019. Mark also contributed significantly to AIG as CUO of Property North America and has extensive experience at Guy Carpenter, where they served as both Senior Client Executive and Managing Director from 2011 to 2025. Their career began at Sedgwick, Inc. as Assistant Vice President, followed by roles at Marsh as Senior Vice President and at Tokio Marine Global as Head of Property.
