Mark Weatherhead

Mark Weatherhead serves as the Head of Analytics and Head of Model Development at Guy Carpenter, where responsibilities include leading a multi-disciplinary team to develop catastrophe models for risk management and reinsurance pricing since June 2006. Prior to this role, Mark worked as a GIS Consultant for the London Borough of Islington from 2005 to 2006, focusing on developing interactive maps and internal GIS tools. Mark's career began as an Environmental Scientist at NIWA from 1993 to 2005, working on environmental science projects that involved spatial databases, GIS analysis, and the creation of environmental classification systems for resource management. Mark received a Master of Science degree from the University of Canterbury, completing studies between 1988 and 1993.
