Trevor (Honghai) Qi is a highly experienced flood specialist and vice president at Guy Carpenter since April 2019. Previously, Trevor held the title of vice president in the Catastrophe Modeling Research & Development Group at JLT Re from July 2016 to April 2019, where expertise in multi-dimensional flood hazard modeling, floodplain mapping, and financial risk assessment was applied. Prior roles include senior water resources engineer at WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, focusing on computational hydrology and flood risk management, and water resources engineer at NMP Engineering Consultants, Inc., specializing in hydrologic modeling and stormwater design. Early career experiences as a research assistant and associate at the University of Mississippi involved advanced hydrologic simulation and GIS applications. Trevor holds a Ph.D. in Computational Hydroscience Engineering from the University of Mississippi and both a Master of Science in Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering from Beijing University of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Water Resources Engineering from North China University of Water Resources and Electric Power.
