Joy Banfield

Joy Banfield has extensive experience in various roles in the field of human resources and people operations. Joy most recently served as the Director of People Operations at gWorks, where they were responsible for overseeing the company's human resources initiatives. Prior to that, they were an Organization Member at Chief, a private women's club focused on supporting women executive leaders.

Joy also held the position of Vice President of People Operations at Designity, where they led talent acquisition and implemented scalable processes to support the growing team. Before that, they worked at TekBrands, first as the Chief of Staff & People Operations, where they provided strategic insight and served as a thought partner to the executive team. Joy later became the Director of Talent & Organizational Development, where they offered expertise in all areas of talent operations and partnered on high-level organizational development strategies.

Earlier in their career, Joy worked as a Human Resources, Training, and Development Leader at Buchanan Energy, where they collaborated with operations and key stakeholders to develop top talent and improve employee and customer experiences. Joy also served as a Human Resources Business Partner at First Data Corporation, where they supported the Print/Mail organization and oversaw day-to-day human capital management.

Joy's career also includes roles as an Executive Search Consultant and Biopharmaceutical Research Consultant at FPC of Cambridge. Joy started their career as an Account Manager at Aureus Medical Group.

Joy Banfield has a Master of Science degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Walden University. Joy also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Cedarville University. In addition to their formal education, Joy has obtained certifications in Learning Design from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) in August 2018, as well as being a Gallup-Certified Manager from Gallup in December 2020. Joy is also a PI Certified Talent Optimization Leader from TalentOptimization.org by The Predictive Index, obtained in February 2020.
