Jacques Rohayem has over 20 years of experience in the field of microbiology and virology. Jacques has held various leadership positions, including Executive Board Member and Managing Director at TUDAG TU Dresden Aktiengesellschaft, GWT-TUD GmbH, and GMIHO mbH. Prior to these roles, Jacques was the CEO and Founder of Riboxx. Jacques also served as the Research Director and Medical Doctor at Dresden University of Technology, where they led the Molecular Virology Diagnostics Lab and developed molecular diagnostic tests for virus infections. Jacques has been involved in several European funded consortia and has 13 PCT patents in the field of biotechnology, molecular medicine, and diagnostics. Jacques began their career as a Medical Doctor at the University Hospital of Besancon in France.
Jacques Rohayem has a diverse and extensive education history. Jacques started their education at the University of Montpellier in France, where they completed their Premier Cycle d'Etudes Medicales degree in Medicine from 1989 to 1995. Following this, they attended the University Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg, France, where they pursued their Deuxieme Cycle d'Etudes Medicales degree in Medicine from 1994 to 1996.
In pursuit of further education, Jacques then enrolled at the University of France-Comte in Besancon, France, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Human Biology from 1996 to 1998. During this time, they also studied at the University of France-Comte's Medical School and obtained a Diplome d'Etudes Approfondies (D.E.A) in Biologie ("Relations Hote-Greffon").
Continuing their academic journey, Jacques attended the Universite Paris VI in Paris, France, in 1998 and completed a Certificate in Biostatistics (CESAM). In the same year, they also studied at the Dresden University of Technology's Medical School in Germany, where they obtained their Medical Doctor degree with a specialization in Immunology.
With a focus on virology and epidemiology, Jacques pursued further education at the Dresden University of Technology's Medical School from 2000 to 2005, earning the title of Medical Specialist in Microbiology, Virology, and Epidemiology of Infections. Jacques then continued their studies at the same institution's Medical Faculty, specializing in Clinical Virology and obtaining the degree of Prof. Dr. med.
In addition to their medical background, Jacques also sought business education. Jacques attended the University of Potsdam in Potsdam, Germany, from 2009 to 2011, where they completed a Master of Business Administration (Executive M.B.A.) degree with a focus on Biotechnology & Medical Devices.
