Aaron Bateman, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of History and International Affairs at The George Washington University since August 2022, with dual appointments in the History Department and the Elliott School of International Affairs. Prior to this role, Aaron served as a Guggenheim Predoctoral Fellow at the National Air and Space Museum from September 2021 to May 2022. Aaron's earlier experience includes serving as an Intelligence Officer in the United States Air Force from May 2013 to April 2019, where leadership was provided for teams conducting global intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance missions. Aaron holds a Doctor of Philosophy in History, focusing on the History of Science and Technology from The Johns Hopkins University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Saint Joseph's University.
